holland / another day in den bosch

I got to spend another day in Den Bosch, this time with my mom and dad. In true Dutch fashion, it was sprinkling out. Good thing I grabbed my uncles umbrella before I ran out the door. While walking around, my dad and I popped into this little alley to take some outfit shots. You can’t tell by the photo, but behind me through the arch way is a little canal. Sorry I didn’t get a shot of that! With the chill in the air, I was fit for warmth in my long sleeved shirt. This has to be one of my favorite cuts. Loosy Goosy. As you can see also, I only brought 3 pairs of shoes with me so these were plastered on my feet for most of the time when it was raining. I have grown quite fond of them having worn them so much at one time. More on the rest of the day below!

Early on, we decided to dig right in and get our first fresh herring of the trip. Basically, there are these fish carts in the markets and you can get a fresh little herring, cut up in little peices, dressed with onions and a little fork. That’s it. You eat it raw, and its DELICIOUS!

After a little walking and shopping, we stopped off somewhere for lunch. I of course had a decaf cafe au lait. Coffee was one of my favorite drinks to order out. You always got a little cookie with it. NOM.

For lunch, i went with something I could never get in the US, filet américain.

After lunch, we headed to a gift shop that I have been going to since I was little. They are a tiny little store called De Kleine Winst and have many little souvenirs.
