Lumberjack

Hello December. You are REALLY here. This past weekend old man winter reared his chilly head. It was the perfect weather for Tree Day. Tree day is a ritual that we head out to the Lehigh Valley and chop down a tree with my family and family friends of ours. We have been doing this since I was a wee tiny girl and I look forward to it every single year. Oh the stories I could tell you about our “Griswold” like trips. HAHA. I knew is was going to be in the 30’s so I wanted to be warm and ready to run around on a tree farm. I stole a shirt from Brian and said, “This is PERFECT for tree day!” and he said, “What am I going to wear then!?!?” HAHAHA. He’s a good man letting me borrow his clothes. I wanted to pull together something with my hunter boots since I knew it would be muddy so I went with the “lumberjack” look. I was also looking for any excuse I could to wear my new hat from Zara. It kept my head WARM.

We searched around the farm and found the perfect little tree for our apt. Looks like we have a lot of decorating to do this week! I plan on decorating the tree while watching ELF and drinking hot choco with tiny marshmallows and whipped cream. Sounds amazing right!!?!? I know… I have had this planned for a while. Hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit!!

Tradition to hold the tree over your head for a photo! HA

emily - You look so pretty while holding that saw:-) And your tree is perfect! I wish I could have a live tree in our apartment. Apparently it’s illegal in Virginia to have a real tree while residing in an apartment.

I love watching Elf while decorating. I was joking with my husband that I’d be busy cutting snowflakes to hang all over our apartment just in like the movie, since I was enjoying a day off from work. Sadly that was never accomplished, but oh well.ReplyCancel

Bellesme - You look so cozy! Love it, Im loving the layers, I wore so many to school today, and I love the overall effect =) My dad says that its the layers that keep you warm, like each layer stops the heat from your body from leaving, instead of a big jacket where you only have one layer.
    Looks so fun!!
