I know you are drooling over my knit collar as much as I am right now!!! When Tara-Lunn over at Good Night, Day asked if I would participate in styling up one of her hand knit peices, I could not say yes fast enough. I love putting together different type of materials so leather and wool were the perfect opposites. So I pulled out this new leather skirt I recently purchased at H&M which is beyond buttery and comfortable paired it with lady light polka dots. I was going to run out of the house without a coat, but then quickly decided I needed a light jacket. More leather and I was ready to head out to happy hour with Brian. Love how this look turned out girly with a little edgy twist with all the leather. Hope everyone has a great weekend! My birthday is on Monday so I will be gearing up this weekend. Thanks again to Tara-Lynn for sending over one of her unique knit pieces and be sure to check out her shop for more knit goodies here.

I am also so happy to announce the winner of the Rebecca Minkoff iPhone case giveaway.
Thank you again to everyone who entered! And the winners are:

Lori - Ugh – I had looked and almost bought that shirt at H&M but didn’t know how I would style it. Now I’m kicking myself. 🙂 Love the knit collar and how you paired it with the leather. Great mixture of textures!ReplyCancel

LeFanciule - You look lovely! One of the things I love about your blog/style is that you wear sensible shoes. Not sensible as in granny-ish or boring, but ones you can (gasp!) actually walk in! So many fashion bloggers wear stilettos in their pictures and probably change to flats for their ‘real life’.

So anyway, quite a rambling comment but I hope you get what I mean!!!

That colour is super cute as well 🙂

Chelsea @ Maritime Shopaholic - I actually have noticed this as well! As a blogger I want to include interesting shoes in my posts, but I don’t want to include shoes I didn’t actually wear the whole day. I admire those ladies who can manage to stick it out in 5″ heels all day somehow!ReplyCancel

Jupe - I love that you’ve mixed together a lot of classic vintage-y elements…the skirt shape, polka dots, fancy collar, heels…but in a way that’s very now and very new. This is one of my favourite of the outfits you’ve styled! Plus, you confirmed the acceptability of my style risk last week (wearing nude shoes with black tights), which is always encouraging 🙂

Chelsea @ Maritime Shopaholic - Great outfit- I especially love that blouse and skirt. Funny that I went to H&M yesterday (unfortunately there’s not one directly in my city) and didn’t spot a whole lot that I liked but now I’m cruising the blogs today and finding all sorts that I like on others that I must have missed. Must do a double check next time I go in 2 weeks! I did manage to score a knit vest with faux fur for only $20, so not all is a lost! 🙂ReplyCancel
