WE MADE IT. Friday I thought you would never come. It has been a busy week at Casa Lapides and I am counting down the hours till our good friends arrive tonight to stay with us for the weekend. We are staying home this holiday weekend to enjoy the sun and just hang in our beach town. Nothing makes me happier than sticking my feet in the sand. These photos were taken at sunset in Huntington Beach and just scream California Summer to me. Summer is still alive and well here in Socal and I love how it will stay warm through the next few months. On a more serious note, I shared on my instagram stories yesterday that Blake and I will be doing IVF Round #3. I know… big news. While we were looking into the face of our embryo transfer, we decided that if we really wanted to have the best chances possible, going straight into a 3rd egg retrieval would give us (hopefully) better chances for success. I will be sure to fill you all in with a bigger blog post down the road but for now, we have a surge of energy looking into our future. While we have 1 precious embryo frozen in time waiting for us, we hope to be able to be blessed with some more chances to have a family. The pressure is on, and we feel it. But, the best thing we can do now, is hold onto hope with dear life. My relationship with the word hope has taken on such a different meaning than it has ever meant to me in the past. Hope is the one thing that keeps me going every minute of every day. Hope is what gets you through the hard phone calls with the doctor, the endless needles and medications, and every side effect we put our bodies through to get to our family. We approach each day with a loving, hopefully heart. So for all my IVF warriors out there, I hope you enter this weekend with hope, love, and faith that your family is out there. We will continue to share our journey with you all and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the hope you share with us.
