Our weekend getaway in Santa Barbara was exactly what we were needing. Blake and I had the BEST time wine tasting and eating our way through the days. We went up on Friday and drove home on Monday afternoon. Hence why I didn’t post anything on Monday. Had to respect the vacation day! This particular day was spent driving into Santa Ynez and Los Olivos hunting down picture perfect spots to sip wine. I was very excited to see one of my friends Sam and her hubby who showed us around some of their favorite spots. We ended our date at Demetria and got lucky enough to get in with no appointment. We planned our whole trip on the fly and didn’t make reservations for tastings. This was one of my favorite moments of the trip as we drove through the vineyard passing all the vines and making our way to the top of the hill. Our last trip I was not prepared with any wine tasting snacks so this time I planned ahead. We made a stop at Trader Joe’s in the morning and I loaded up on pre sliced cheese and salami. I also picked up some blueberries and box of pita crackers. I also snuck in a back of backed cheese crunchies because why not. What a beautiful place to enjoy happy hour. It always amazes me that this change in landscape is only 2.5 hours away from where we live. We need to get in our car and explore more. Luckily for us the weather was still nice and warm. I recently picked up this dress at Nordstrom and was excited to get a chance to wear it. I actually picked it up without trying it on and brought it to the register. Since I love equipments pieces I am usually good at guessing my size based on the fit. I actually sized up in this for more of a looser fit. I can’t find it online anymore so it’s clearly already out of season but I will link some similar items below. I do love this version for a more dressed up look. Equipment pieces are pricey but they are always staples in my closet because I will re-wear them each season. Anyways, this weekend was beyond epic. Never underestimate the power of a little weekend getaway. Will share more photos form our trip this week. But in other news, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Tune into instagram later today to see what Blake, Lola and I are dressing up as. It’s nothing epic. We didn’t make it. But it’s cute. Have a safe night all your trick or treaters.
