27 and Fabulous

Welcome to my NYC birthday party. Pretty much complete with everything I had hoped for and more! (Except for the french fry place that was closed by the time we got their. Next time Pomme Fritte, next time) I spent the whole week looking everywhere imaginable for a birthday outfit with no luck. I finally went to the King of Prussia Mall which is a HUGE mall in Pennsylvania and knew I would find something there. I had about 1.5 hours to find the perfect look. Pressure was on. I went into store after store finding absolutley nothing that interested me. I was looking for color and texture. Finally, it was 30 minutes till the mall was closing and I stumbled into Urban Outfitters. (Cue some magical music) I was looking for leather shorts and they were right in front of me. I saw this top and fell instantly in love considering it had a pattern which I was looking for and it was yellow. One of my favorite colors to wear. I was walking to the fitting room and this jacket started to call my name. Needless to say, POOF! An outfit was born. Sassy, textured, and just the right amount of Carrie Bradshaw to hit the New York City Streets.

We took some outfit shots outside and headed to dinner. Melissa, Morgan and some of my great friends from Philly enjoyed some tasty margaritas and Southwestern cuisine. Scroll down to see and hear more about our night out on the town!

We strolled to Magnolia’s (of course because I demanded it) to grab a cupcake for the road and everyone secretly put a candle in my cupcake and started singing Happy Birthday in front of the shop. You can imagine my utter excitement to see a candle in my favorite thing EVER. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE for making me feel so special and loved :))

Of course my beloved Christine came out to meet me for drinks and dancing!! These tea cups were filled with cocktails and were cool for about 5 minutes until you tired to move and everything spilled everywhere. HA!

Jenni also popped by for some fun! We have been trying to meet up forever and we finally got to hug it out.

My lipstick was pretty rocking and left a pretty sweet mark on Christine’s face. Of course we needed to document this. She left it on for the rest of the night as a souvenir. We danced till 4 and took WAY too many pictures. Thank you to everyone who made 27 my new favorite number 🙂 xo, Kim
