Hellooooo 2011! It’s nice to be back in the swing of things after a pretty extensive holiday staycation. I spent alot of time with family in Pa and NJ, got caught in the giant blizzard in NJ and spent time with some special people for NYE. I feel like I am finally catching my breathe again, but in a way, I am ready for more!
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of opening my home for some house guests. Of course since the first time that Morgan came and stayed with us in Philly, its been a given that she would come back to play. She drove down on Thursday and we were off for a night out. Morgan took these shots for me and of course I was laughing while shivering amongst all the leftover snow in our backyard. We finished up and headed out. Our plan was to head to one of my favorite Belgian bars, Monks, for some brews and food. We took a quick detour and had some old fashioned cocktails at the Franklin Mortgage and Investment Company. I had a “SouthSide” and Morgan had a “Restraining Order.” Best cocktail names ever.
We got a chance to stroll through Rittenhouse Square. I always love the lights strung up in the trees. So magical with snow still in the park.
Of course Morgan and I showed our excitement to be hanging out again. Wee!
At Monks, we chowed down and awaited Merl, who was our other house guest for the weekend. After 2 cancelled flights, she still managed to make it to Philly. Veronika was also able to meet up with her friend for some drinks with us. Happy little bloggers. Lol. I keep thinking to myself how lucky I have been to meet so many people through blogging.
