Color and design have always been a big part of my life. It’s all thanks to my family. Both my parents have worked in creative industries. My mother was a singer and she has always been fascinated by the textures and colors of her travels all over the world. My father is an architect and from an early age, I was playing with his colored pencils and watching him sketch on his drafting table. We have always shared a vison of clean design and above all, living colorfully.
I had the great pleasure of partnering with Valspar to help my parents redesign their bedroom. Obviously we wanted to go bold and fun. Sometimes it’s risky to take that leap but with Valspar’s Love Your Color Guarantee program we didn’t have to worry. If our yellow wasn’t the exact yellow we were looking for, Valspar would give you a new color of your choice to replace it. Kind of takes the pressure off. Loved that.
My dad actually designed this room with the beautiful arches and all so it was so fun to help him with this makeover. I remember watching it get built when I was younger. It turned out to be a little trouble paradise.My mom says it’s her, “Caribbean Tropics Room.” So cute. Hope you enjoyed a little sneak peek into my other creative passions.
