Beautiful Lengths

Today, I am sharing something very near and dear to my heart. I have partnered with Cosmopolitan Magazine and Pantene to share with you Pantene’s incredible charity program called Beautiful Lengths. Pantene Beautiful Lengths allows women, men and children to cut and donate their hair or give a monetary donation to create free, real-hair wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer. My family was affected by breast cancer when my grandmother passed away and I am constantly looking for ways to give back and spread awareness amongst young woman like myself to be conscious of their own health.

What is so special about this charity is that EVERYONE who wants to participate in the cause has a way to get involved. Even if you can’t cut your hair, you can donate money. This year, Pantene is kicking off their #8or8 challenge – join me by donating 8 inches of hair or $8 and posting to your social channels using #8or8 and #BeautifulLengths. I am so incredibly grateful to be able to share my experience with you and hopefully inspire you to lend a hand (or hair!) Also, September 8, 2015 marks the 4th year of National Donate Your Hair Day so get out there and make the chop!

I am so excited to share with you my own chop in support of this amazing cause. Being someone that has never processed their hair and having these long locks made me a perfect candidate to donate my own hair. Above you can see my transformation! I have always had super long hair and was ready for a fresh and fun cut. I thought I was going to cry when they chopped my ponytail off but really, I could not stop smiling. My heart is full being able to give a woman struggling with such an ugly disease a little piece of love to help them feel themselves, and most of all, feel like the beautiful women they are. My chop is dedicated to my incredible grandmother and her struggle. Love you Grandma Pesch!
