Yesterday I took a little impromptu trip to NYC for an event. It was a rainy morning but I had my outfit hanging up and picked out the night before so there was NO turning back. Instead of let the rain defeat me, I stayed strong and rocked these bright colors! At first I thought it was ironic that my entire outfit was from Zara, and then I realized its one of my most FAVORITE stores so this was no coincidence. The pants were definitely a different shape for me but I have been trying to push some of my boundaries and felt pajama-chic in these silky trousers! I say pajama because they were SO comfortable and funny enough someone at my work joked I was wearing pajamas. OH you jokesters 😉 Was loving the elegant feel of silk on silk and embraced the color blocking trend seen round the fashion world. What is the boldest color combo you have tried?

I met up with Jenni of I Spy DIY right when I got into town. She is a dear friend and amazingly creative DIY Queen! You must check her out. Anywho, we met up and she snapped away some outfit shots of me. THANK YOU JENNI! After a photo whirlwind, we were off to event of the evening. Stay tuned for more on that!

PS! I recently partnered with Hat Attack in honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month to help raise awareness towards the fight against skin cancer. They are going to donate 20% of all proceeds to the Skin Cancer Foundation on all chosen styles. Check out how I styled my hat here, and all the other fabulous ladies that were a part of it!

EricaVee - Those pants are over-the-top amazing. They remind me of Jasmine from Aladdin and I loved her outfits when I was little (I had a paper doll of her, haha!). But the orange top gives it such a different vibe, so very chic! Love the colors, and I love that your nails match the pants 😀

It’s not really “bold” colorblocking since it involves a neutral, but I love the industrial look of bright orange or yellow with gray.ReplyCancel
