Haircut with Nick at Arrojo

1eatsleepwear

Before the holidays, I had the pleasure of getting my haircut at Arrojo in NYC. I had won “The Ultimate Makeover” with none other than Nick himself. I was SO so excited because I have always watched Nick work his magic on the show What Not To Wear and ready to see how he could help me with my curly hair. Keiko came along with me to document the whole thing! Thanks love!!

The day started out by talking to Nick about what I wanted. I of course asked his opinion and he suggested I keep my style and length. What we both agreed on was to layer it up to add some much needed volume. So off we went!

Nick worked with precision and quickly pulled my look together.
I have been to Arrojo before, and knew I was in good hands.

My goldie locks were falling on the floor. How cute are Nick’s shoes?

After the cut, it was time for the products. I am actually already actively using Arrojo products at home so I was excited to see what Nick would recommend. First came the styling creme which was distributed throughout my hair to add some volume. He then took a small amount of cream wax and worked it through all of my hair. He then combed out my hair and started scrunching and drying. I am one of those people who always ask alot of questions at the hair dresser so I am able to recreate the look at home.

And there you have it! My finished look. A little shorter, filled with volume, and full of texture and fun! All in all I had a tremendous day and left feeling transformed. Just how you should feel after a great haircut. A very SPECIAL thank you to Nick Arrojo for the amazing cut and experience! It was a magical day.

PS. Want your haircut by Nick himself? Check out this Valentine’s day special they have going on now.

Jessica - Might I make a suggestion? Your hair looks to have a similar texture to mine; thick, wavy, yet lacking those perfectly defined ringlets. I went to Arrojo a few years ago and the lovely stylist used the frizz control on my hair (http://store.arrojoproduct.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AP&Category_Code=frizz-control). Can I just say that it has revolutionized my life! So much so I have become a brand champion telling people on the street and giving it as stocking stuffers for Christmas.ReplyCancel

eat.sleep.wear. - Wonderful. At this point I am embracing some of the added frizzy texture but thanks so much for the suggestion. I myself am also a huge advocate of their products. Glad to hear others are as well! xo, KimReplyCancel

dressing366 - What a timely post – I am anxiously awaiting Friday when I too have a much needed appointment to freshen up my locks. I love the texture Nick created. My hair is completely different, so the look won’t work for me, but maybe Julie B. will be able to work some similar delightfulness. Check out the after photos on Saturday.ReplyCancel

eat.sleep.wear. - Lol. I was happy to go with the same style. Sometimes when something works, I go with it 😉 Someday I might get a little wild with my cuts but for now I was happy to go a little shorter with some more layers. Thanks for your suggestion though! xo, KimReplyCancel
