Last week was filled with the most amazing Spring / Summer weather. Temperatures up to almost 80 degrees had me busting out my sandals. I was in Brooklyn for a good part of last week shooting a summer look book with Brahmin, Taylor and Kendi. (I definitely blew up the instagram feed with sneak peeks of the shoot if you want to check them out HERE!) So this sunny afternoon I spent with Taylor going to grab a mocha and sit and catch it up with one of my fav West Coast ladies. I layered up in pastel tones to blend in with all the budding cherry blossom trees. Something about these pale colors together that feel so fresh to me. Just some spring color to start off your week!

Thanks Taylor for snapping these photos! xoxo

Jupe - I agree with Kiwi…jealous you’ve got sandals weather! Hoping to pull mine out soon…

Love these neutral-ish pastels together, it creates such a softness and sweetness. Leaving the pussybow untied actually played that up, because it’s really pretty and elegant the way the ties hang down almost like a scarf!

Bettina - Sorry if you’ve answered this before, or if it’s the way the pastels look against your skin, but your skin looks amazing in these photos. What type of contouring and highlighting make-up do you use? Your cheekbones are so defined and the light is hitting your face so softly, if it’s just au natural, you’re one lucky gal!ReplyCancel

    • April 3, 2012 - 11:55 am

eat.sleep.wear. - Awe thanks for the question! I don’t do much contouring in my every day makeup just for more special occasions. I do use a light pink blush more on the top of my cheek bone. Hope this helps! xo, KimReplyCancel

      • April 3, 2012 - 4:18 pm

Bettina - Thanks Kim! You just have gorgeous skin 🙂 I’ll try some light pink blush, I usually go for a darker hue.ReplyCancel
