Cat Masquerade

Halloween is a holiday full of ghouls, spooks and MASKS. This year, I didn’t have much prep time for my costume this year. So Friday during the day, I headed to a great dance store in hopes to find something I could make work. I saw a great cat mask that I knew I could glam up with a cute outfit and instantly thought of Maria’s cat post. I also found a pair of lace gloves. I brought them back and started to search through my drawers for some inspiration. The mask originally had all the feathers in a dome shape so there was no ear definition. To give it some more meow-ness, yes i said meow-ness, I cut some ears into it. I wanted to go for a glam look so some lace and pearls were essential. I also wanted to add a little cat sass so I put on my new faux leather mini from urban 1972. Been dying to wear it and this was the perfect opportunity. Love all the different textures that came together in this outfit! Something I would definitely wear on a day other than Halloween.

Brian also went for a masked costume option. He cut away some of the bottom of it so it was more of a half mask. He also layered up with some textures and patterns and I think his outfit turned out great! His mask was so creepy. HAHAHA.
