Italian Market Festival

Sunday was one of those great city days. We were supposed to get rain but it ended up being sunny and HOT. Thank you mother nature. The morning started with some eggs at the house and coffee talk. Then it was time to get ready and head down to the Italian Market for their festival. The streets were closed off and filled with food vendors and drinks. This giant outdoor party was a great way to enjoy the nice weather. We had a nice little crew with us down there. Our long time friends Dan and Tara as well as Dylana and Natalie my new found Philly loves. It was the girls first experience in the Italian Market and what better than an festival to introduce them. We munched on some pizza for lunch and gave our feet a rest from all the walking.

Soon after lunch, I headed toward old city with Dy and Nat I promised a little bit of boutique shopping at some of my favorite places. We made our way through the many parks in the historic area and stopped a few times to take a load off and just enjoy people watching.

We finally made it to some shops for some quick shopping. I got lucky and found a pair of black low wedge sandals that will be perfect for the warmer weather. Sale bin people. 30 bucks! Can’t wait to wear them once this rain let’s up in Philly.

Later in the day we had a big BBQ at the house with lots of friends, cold beverages, and tunes playing on the iPod outside. This was definitely my kind of weekend enjoying the city.
