Givinchy Mister Light / Amazing Concealer / MAC Mineralize Skinfinish
I get alot of questions about my beauty routine and wanted to share it with you! Here we go.
I start with the face. I tend to go super light with face makeup and just use concealer and
mineral powder. Next it’t onto the eyes. I stick with neutral shadows and create contours with the
darker brown tones. Then I use a little liquid liner and mascara to finish off my cat eye look.
urban decay primer / estee lauder shadow / MAC shadows all that glitters / vanilla / soft brown / haux
makeup forever aqua liner 11 + 6 / Almay waterproof mascara / MAC eyelash curler
These days, I always define my eyebrows with this pencil.I use highbeam underneath the arch of my brow for a hint of sparkle. It works well dabbed on your cheek bones too!
shobha brow pencil in sand / benefit high beam
estee lauder red velvet / MAC rebel / MAC vegas volt / NARS schiap / Prep+prime
And then there was lipstick. I almost never leave the house with out it! A key trick that I learned
from Keiko was to use a primer underneath my lip color. It helps the color stay on and LAST.
Kind of changed my life. And there you have it! My daily makeup routine in photos.
Jill @ dollars-or-cents - Thanks for sharing! I have a pretty similar routine, but I’m still scared of lipstick! Also, my skin doesn’t like High Beam for some reason 🙁
Lola - Fantastic! I am with you on the minimal face makeup – I hate the cakey feeling of foundation or even some tinted moisturizers you find these days. I use concealer and just a light powder to set it. I find the less makeup you use on your face – the less you need. Love the shadows you use – I do basically the same thing too 🙂 I am a little less adventurous with eyeliner and lipstick though – I stick with gloss ! Thanks for sharing!
Naomi - Thanks for this! I’m always interested in what makeup people prefer. Have you heard of Birch Box? In short, they send you make up samplers from top brands every month for $10/mo. It sounds like a good way to get to know the products you’ve always wanted to try but are too afraid to take the plunge before testing.
Lola - PS – any suggestions for concealer? I am currently using MAC’s but a friend raved about Kat Von D’s. How do you find yours? Thanks!
Natalie - thanks for sharing Kim! i have a similar routine, and use mostly MAC products. i’ll be adding MAC prep + prime, thanks to you and Keiko!

Angel Court Jewels - I just bought the benetint (rose tint) for my cheeks. I’m falling in love with their products!!! I’ll have to give high beam a try.

Courtney
Kiti - I’ve never tried Mac, I think I should. Thanks for sharing;)
Daisy - love the vibrant lip sticks!
Dress and Dish: Lana - I didn’t know Mac did a mineral makeup. Good to know!
kelly - Great rundown, thanks so much for all the info!
Patience - Would love to try the lip primer. My lipstick never stays.

stef - I’ve been using Benefit’s Highbeam for years now too, love it, and that NARS lipstick is an amazing shade of pink!
Tegan @ teganias thoughts - I am going to try that lip primer trick tonight, that was something I had never thought of!!
eat.sleep.wear. - it will change your life! xo, Kim
Jackie - Wow, this is kind of strange, but Mac’s “Dainty” and “Peachy keen” are the exact two blushes that I use! They’re the only ones I have at the moment…
Lin - yes, I use Kat Von D concealer, it’s my absolute favorite, and I’ve tried many…it’s very simple to use. My routine is very simple, moisturizer and argan oil, Argan color stick blush(petal pink), Kat Von D concealer, Benefit dandelion face powder to set the concealer, then a bit of eyeliner and mascara, lipgloss or lip stain. =) I keep it simple as well. Most days I don’t even use eye shadow, it’s just pointless since I have black D & G glasses.
Bettina - Love when bloggers post their make-up routines! Think I’m going to have to try the MAC all that glitters, from the looks of your palette it looks like it’s a key essential!
eat.sleep.wear. - It’s one of my favorites!! You have to try it. xo, Kim
