Today I am traveling back in time to an outfit from New Orleans. This day was spent brunching and wandering with Lindsey in Garden District. The houses were gorgeous with giant terraces that were inviting us to have a seat and cool off in the shade from the wicked humidity. (I posted some photos of the architecture here) It was a day fit for a dress and as minimal clothing as possible. Love the color and pattern in this one from Parker. Even though it was silk, it was the perfect flowy dress to wear while wandering and getting lost in these beautiful New Orleans streets.

Erica via glamBLOUSE - I like the combination of the colors on this ensemble. The peek-a-boo in the back adds a flirty touch to the outfit. I love New Orleans and my BFF wants to go in February for her birthday. We are definitely going to try out a few restaurants and spots.

Sarah - Lovely dress! And can I just say that I am very impressed that you take such good care of your skin? I imagine that you burn even more easily than I do, and I’ve never once seen a sunburned picture of you. It seems like recently the proudly porcelain look (I just made that up) is getting more accepted, if that makes sense. In years past it has seemed to me that everyone was expected to be bronzed, whether by the sun or with self-tanners. What’s wrong with embracing the skin color you have?! Pale can be beautiful, and you are proof of that. Thanks for keeping it real!!

eat.sleep.wear. - Absolutely!! If I spend time in the sun I ALWAYS wear sunscreen. I can get color if I am outside but haven’t had much opportunity this summer 😉 Thank you so much for your sweet comments :)) It’s so important to protect our skin!! xoxo, KimReplyCancel
