All tied up

Us California girls are always waiting for those Fall leaves to start covering the streets and some of us wait longer than others. Luckily for me, we are (finally) starting to get some tastes of the cooler season. Once the temperature cools off a bit, I can’t wait to stock up on some new pieces for my closet. I am excited to be partnering up with Lord & Taylor to check out some of their newest pieces from their contemporary collection. I am all about mixing some versatile pieces into my closet each season and love the pieces I found!

I love a good swing dress and this one with the necktie detail can be dressed up or down. It’s a little nod to menswear that I did. I opted to dress it up this time with a pair of black booties. I will forever add black booties to my wardrobe each season. These Rachel Zoe booties are the perfect height heel for me to actually get stuff done in and run around town without having to swap into flats. Adding booties to a dress is a great way to dress it up with a little bit of edge. What’s so unique about these booties is the calf hair texture – I love this luxe take on a classic. I finished my look with a little bit of 70’s fringe flair with this Vince Camuto black leather bag. I love mixing different leather textures in one look. The fringe adds a little bit of movement along with the dress. Can I get a little shake shake? This whole look is made for fun and each of these pieces will be making my closet very happy this Fall!
