It’s currently December 27th and I had all intentions of getting this post up on Christmas day but… instead I ignored my computer and promised to get it up after Christmas. So here we are! Last time this year, I was newly pregnant and so thankful that my dreams of having a baby would soon come true. And this year my heart about exploded experiencing the holidays with our little miracle baby. Not in my wildest dreams could I have pictured a more perfect first Christmas with our little Otis. Did I get to do all the holiday stuff I wanted? Absolutely not. But his presence just lighting up our life everyday has been the greatest gift. We got a chance to meet Santa with the help of Poppy Lea Photography and I was probably the most excited out of everyone.

For Christmas this year, we decorated sugar cookies with friends and family over Chinese food, we cooked Christmas eve dinner at our house, and then we headed to my sisters house on Christmas day for pancakes and mimosas. We spent the rest of the day just soaking in cuddles and lots of smiles with Otis at home watching Christmas movies. I don’t think I will ever stop sharing or feeling the immense gratitude I have for Otis. He is such a blessing to our family and I just can’t imagine our life without him in it. I know the holidays can be such a beautiful time for some and also a very hard dark times for others. Everyone is posting photos of their happy families and some people out there are hurting. So specifically for all my fertility warriors out there, I know this time of year can be so hard. I was there. I lived through that darkness. I am here to remind you today that miracles happens. And I am wishing all my warriors strength and hope. I will be hugging my family extra tight as we head into the New Year. Love you all!
