A Silk City NYE

New Years Eve was full of confetti, champagne and lots of lots of friends. We spent most of the day running around looking for last minute outfit items. Afterwards we headed back to the house and had some down time before we had to get all glammed up. Brian and our friend Dustin cooked a mighty special NYE meal consisting of duck breast in a fig reduction, herb risotto, and chinese long beans. YUM. YUM. YUM. We got dressed, curled, primped and were ready for some quick photos before we headed over to Silk City.

The dress. Oh the dress. Meet my new red lover. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be too frumpy or not but it
was perfectly flowy and ready to dance in!

Here are some photos of the night taken with my iphone and Brian’s iphone.
Since the big camera stayed safe and sound at home.

Morgan, Merl and I

After Silk City, we headed back to my house for some champagne and fresh baked cookies from cookie dough that Morgan brought with her. Lucky for us, we picked up these Valentine’s Day-esque plastic glasses from the dollar store to end our night. Perfect way to ring in the New Year don’t you think? I have been sick last week so thank you so much for bearing with my strange blogging schedule! I am so so so greatful for all of you and your continued support as I take eat.sleep.wear. into 2011! LETS ROCK THIS!!! xo, Kim

Santina - Oh, Kim, if there is one thing that dress is NOT, it’s frumpy! You look gorgeous (as usual!) in red, and the slits in the sleeves are a perfect peekaboo of skin. That dress really does look fun for dancing…I’m sure you did it justice!

I just commented over on Morgan’s blog that you all look beautiful. I love how comfortable you look with each other, and really, what’s better than finding friends with whom you feel comfortable? I look forward to seeing what 2011 brings your way!

the other emily - Looks like a great NYE! I think this red is such a great color for blonds, and you are definitely rocking it. Love your hair with a little more curl to it too, it’s sort of subtly seventies and goes perfectly with the dress.

(btw, I just found your blog today via your feature over on Modly Chic – I absolutely love your style!)
