Weekend by the Beach / Part 2

We continue on my weekend adventure photos from my trip to Long Island with Morgan. Hope your not getting sick of them! I knew that our weekend would be filled with a lot of walking outside and needed to stay warm since the ground was still covered in snow. I packed a lot of casual clothes with me and flat boots. I have been getting better and better at packing for trips especially since this time I had to share the suitcase with Brian because of traveling. I usually plan out specific outfits to save space and it ended up working out perfectly. I have been into a lot of tone on tone looks lately so this is what I came up with. The hat was a good choice this day also because the wind was whipping and I stayed nice and toasty. I also tried my hand at a fishtail braid! You like?? Maybe one day when I figure out what goes into making a video blog I will show you all my hair secrets! Scroll down to check out more photos of my outfit as well as our hike.

[hat: eddie bauer / sweater + socks: aa / cords: uo / sunnies: rayban / boots: aerosoles]

Here are some extra goodies from our day! We all know how much I enjoy eating and being merry so enjoy these candids. We made some yerba mate tea which is now quickly becoming a favorite beverage thanks to Morgan. Brian also whipped up some poached eggs for breakfast which went really well with the scones that Morgan baked before our trip. There is nothing like home cooked meals and sitting around the table enjoying everyones company.

Lisa - What beautiful scenery on your hike! What is that building off in the distance? I have those same AA socks, but in grey. They keep the legs so warm. Love the hat too. I would definitely be interested in some future hair tutorials. I have really long hair and only have like 3 hair styles that I do. I have tried to put my hair in a loose braid before, but because I have layers in my hair, they always stick out and it looks weird. Oh, and Brian looks like he’s a good cook. Yum!ReplyCancel
