I shop so differently than I did when I was a teenager. These days, it’s all about finding those perfect pieces that will stay in my closet for the long haul. I think that means more classic pieces that will always be in style. For me it’s about quality and not quantity. Every girl needs: A great fitted blazer, statement shoes, and classic leather wallet. All of these pieces are ones I invest in.
Neiman Marcus and PayPal asked me to contribute to their summer style guide so I knew I would be on the hunt for these pieces. Being a huge online shopper I love when sites make it easier for me to check out. Well, my wallet doesn’t but I do 😉 Now that PayPal is a featured payment method on Neiman Marcus, I was able to seamless shop the collection. First for the blazer. I love that this one has a strong shoulder detail and it’s quite fitted. Makes for the perfect layer as I transition into fall. For the shoes, I have been dying to expand my Valentino collection and this black pair goes so well with a simple pair of skinny jeans or a fancy dress. So many possibilities. I am a bit picky about wallets these days so this one doubles as a clutch which I adore. What are the 3 pieces you think every woman needs in her closet? Joanne - I love this outfit. I think it’s much better to invest a little bit more and get pieces that you’ll wear for years, rather than buy entirely the hottest new styles. This is a perfect outfit though, so classy and sophisticated. I feel like it could be worn anywhere, anytime!
