Today marks my 11 day countdown till I jump on a plane with my love to get married! I can’t even begin to describe the emotional roller coaster that has been the last month. I felt all rainbows an unicorns until about 2 months ago when I started to feel the stress of planning something so big. Would be silly for me to not be upfront with the fact that this wedding business is some serious hard work! All well worth it but, WOW. Some hard work 🙂 As many of you know, Blake had an unexpected back surgery 2 weeks ago so that was a bit of a challenge for us getting ready for our big day. I am so happy to share that with everyday Blake is making great progress and he will be in great shape for Hawaii. Thank you all for your kind comments and support on social media. It means the world to me.

In celebration of the wedding, I naturally wanted to spend as much time with my wedding photographer and now dear friend Alison Conklin (and her husband Geoff!). So she came out to spend some time with Blake and I in LA to shoot some special photos. We decided since our first engagement session was in Philly where we both met, it was only fitting for our second to be in the city where we share our love. We hit up our favorite coffee shop with our pup Lola and then headed to the Santa Monica Pier. We are such beach babies and it was the perfect place to capture some fun moments.

P.S.- If you want to get to know Alison a little better, please check out the article she wrote for Click Magazine HERE. Her story is so touching, I was literally crying reading it. It’s truly beautiful to see how she has shaped into creative and talented spirit that I know and love. Get your tissues ready.
