I am currently happily at home on the East Coast with my family for the holidays. It’s one of my favorite times of year because I am reunited with them. I love living in LA but always miss them dearly. This year, we were all in the same city at the time and we were able to do one of my favorite holiday traditions: Tree Day. We head up to the Nazareth area in Pennsylvania and meet up with our family friends to find the perfect tree at a tree farm. We have been doing this since I can remember and probably before I was even walking. Imagine the Griswold’s going on the hunt to find their tree. Welcome to our holiday tradition.

It’s a year of firsts for me. Being married is the one that takes the cake this year. I still get the chills when I think I can call Blake my husband. I know it sounds so cheesy, but I truely feel like the luckiest girl to have found someone to make me laugh as much as he does and not sweat the small stuff. God bless your little heart Blake for dealing with me 24/7! Since Blake never had a chance to cut down a Christmas tree, this was his first year to join us. Pretty much my favorite year yet. We head out to field and go in hunt for the tree. Then the boys get down and dirty and saw it down! My Dad always holds the tree above his head. We are silly… but it’s always the best day. Hope you enjoy this special little family day. I also have to thank Alison Conklin for always capturing some of my favorite moments so beautifully. Alison photographed our engagement shoot, THIS dreamy shoot, and wedding (which I CAN’T WAIT to share!) and she is truly one of the most talented, warm, and wonderful people I am happy to call my friend. The way she captures even some of the smallest moments just blows me away. So happy to have these to look back on years later. If it’s Christmas or another holiday you are celebrating, I wish you all the best and hope that you grab those you love, and squeeze them extra tight today.
