I am not getting any younger and the more I hear oils are all the rage. I can’t tell you how many youtube videos and beauty blogs I read. Everyone I know is running out and stocking up on oils. So I was excited to partner up with Burt’s Bees to try out their Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil and see what all the fuss is about.

I usually try to use a lot of oil-free products but because my skin is mostly on the dry side, I have finally opened up to seeing what oil-based products can do for my skin. I’ve recently learned that oil is an important aspect of the skin’s natural barrier function. When using harsh cleansers, it strips the skin of the moisture it needs and leaves your skin vulnerable. What I have discovered about using oil-based products is that you can use them wet or dry which I love. I love a product I can use multiple ways for different ways to get my skin glowing.

Today I am excited to show you a step-by-step of how I used this Cleansing Oil and how my skin feels after. I used the oil dry which is a first for me. With dry hands, you gently massage the oil over your face. Then, you wet your hands and rinse thoroughly followed by patting your skin dry with a towel. And that is it! Super simple and easy way to get my skin glowing again.

I have always used all the Burt’s Bees lip Balms for my dry lips so I was more excited to try their other skin products. I was kind of surprised to find that after fully cleaning my face, it felt only soft and hydrated without that oily residue left behind. I was expecting to have a super oily face and that was not the case. Also, it smelled like I was at the spa for the day. Always a plus for me! My skin care needs to smell good. I have been using the oil on and off for about a week and have to say that I love it especially for its price point. If you want to dive into the world of oils, this one is a great one to dip your toe in the water. Would love to hear how you guys are loving oils in your skin care routine! My skin care routine is always changing from month to month as I am always on the hunt for new goodies to play with. Hope you are enjoying all my beauty reviews! As always, a big thank you to Burt’s Bees for letting me play with your newest goodies.

Hunter Bluestone - The Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil is definitely a good cleansing product for those that have normal to dry skin.

But for the readers in here that have Dry skin, Here is a TIP:
After washing your body or face, you need to TOWEL DRY WELL. If you Dry Off THOROUGHLY, you will help stop evaporation from drying you out. And then, you can increase moisture in your skin by applying a hydrating cream that also helps lock-in the moisture in your skin.

Just like Kimberly who has the Clarisonic Mia Fit, Clarisonic users may benefit from Clarisonic’s Luxe line of brush heads. These brush heads have been studied to increase natural hydration levels.

Kim, have you tried the Clarisonic Luxe Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head yet? It’s super soft!
