I am one who often breaks the “Don’t wear black and navy together” rule. I think blending the two can be really great. It’s funny this post is called rule breaker because I am ALWAYS one to follow the rules. I guess not when it comes to fashion. Ha. Anyways, Black and Blue. Love the combination. Here I love the how this striped blazer instantly dresses up this two piece look that I have worn before here. Two totally different vibes. This one, total laid back cool girl. Love how adding a layer can change the feel to your look. Hope everyone is having a great short week in celebration of the holiday weekend. I can taste the bbq already.

Thuy - I get why people would be wary of the combo but I can see it working if you play with distribution and shades! You look great 🙂

Jane klein - Love hour new hair color! However the outfit seems like something a 50 plus would wear. Btw, Loved your old east coast style , now seems like your only posting coffee pics weekly dogs and beach shots, Are you cutting back on fashion blogging? I know a lot are finding it hard to pay for new items without sponsors. Would love to see less coffee beach & mundane shots & more of real fashion blogging. Notice your loosing likes & having trouble getting followers I read on racked… Maybe as well perhaps sprucing up your wardrobe for daily fashion post? Will def keep following though 🙂ReplyCancel

eat.sleep.wear. - Jane, I have never dyed my hair but thanks for the compliment! It changes with the seasons and when I am out in the sun more. Appreciate your feed back but I am a 32 year old woman who loves the skins she is in, and the clothes I chose to wear despite what age you think I am dressing for. I dress for myself and am always excite to share that journey with you. Everyones style is always morphing and changing and that is what I love so much about Fashion. Sorry to disappoint you with my content of dogs, coffee and the beach, but those are things are are also important to me and luckily part of my daily life. But, I do appreciate your honestly and would be interested if more people are craving some more fashion in the mix. I think for me I love to infuse lifestyle and fashion so you will be seeing more lifestyle content along with the fashion. In terms of losing likes, the new instagram algorithm has made a drastic impact because people are no longer seeing my posts in their feed. It’s very upsetting to know some of my friends don’t even see my photos pop up for them unless they go to my profile page. This is happening to alot of my peers and something is very wacky in this new system. But the only thing I can do, is continue to just be me, and share the things I love with you all. I can assure you, I spend lots of my own money refreshing my closet, and getting excited for each season. I will be excited once the weather starts to get cooler here in California for some chunky knits. Again, thank you for taking the time to let me know your thoughts and for following along. xo, KimReplyCancel
