These photos were taken during Coachella weekend. This season, Blake and I decided to play is super relaxed and take the time to actually sit by a pool rather than run around to parties. Not going to lie, we needed to just sit and relax after the year we have had. It was our first time staying at The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage. It was the beautiful oasis treat that we needed. We always travel with Lola when we can so she obviously had a great time hanging out with us. I was excited to get dressed up and have a date night dinner with Blake so I wanted to wear something new in my closet. Lately, because of all the IVF treatments, I have been gravitating more than usual to flowy pieces to hide the areas I am self conscious since starting treatments a year ago. I think a bit part about dressing good and feeling good is knowing what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Love how chic the silhouette is of this dress and it’s almost like I am wearing a super hero cape when I walk away. LOVE. It hugs me in just the right places without being too oversized. I loved it so much, I actually just bought it in black for a friends wedding since I am a bloated whale from my egg retrieval right now (or at least I feel like a bloated whale!). My slides for the night have quickly become a go to pair. A stacked heel like this is the perfect height to run around in. I actually just got these in black as well. They are so comfy and don’t both my feet with long periods of wear. And for the bag, I scooped this baby up a few months ago and love how dainty it is. It doesn’t fit much, but its great to tuck my credit cards and lipstick into for date night. Really obsessed with this outfit so basically I am wearing the black version of it this weekend. So stay tuned on instagram.

In other news, I am FINALLY starting to feel a touch better from my IVF egg retrieval surgery last Friday. Been doing my best to update you guys on instagram stories with how I have been feeling and what side effects I have been experiencing. All in all, my experience has been similar to IVF #1. Very slow recover. I stayed in bed (or on the couch) from Friday – Monday. Tuesday was the first day I decided I could no longer stand being horizontal and tried to sit at my desk sporadically for a few hours as much as I could. While my body is still in the healing process, it seems everyday is getting a little bit easier. I still have very severe bloating, lady part pain, and cramping pains and overall feeling of fatigue and pain. It’s all part of journey. It sucks, but it’s all part of it. We are PRAYING and HOPING until we hear from our Doctor with our final embryo results. We were lucky to have embryos fertilize but you have to wait till day 5 / day 6 to get the full report of how many embryos made it to their final stage. Each stage has it’s waiting game. So here we are… crossing every finger and toe that we have some healthy embryos. I feel like a broken record, but I have to thank everyone for their continued comments and support. It makes me stronger knowing how many incredibly strong woman (and men) are out there fighting. Here’s to some good news friends.
